What Reader's are Saying
Easy Come Easy Ghost
Airplanes, ghosts, and murder!
Reading this book felt like coming home and reuniting with friends and family. While the base of this book is murder, it was an interesting book, and it made me laugh a lot! Audrey and Kade are just perfect, and it's always fun to read their story.
Easy Come, Easy Ghost
I love this series. Audrey and her boyfriend, Detective Kade, are fantastic...and the regulars are here with some new wacky new ladies...Audrey meets her in-laws-to-be and, of course, runs into another new ghost..really more than one....good mystery, good story, humor, and as always, a satisfying read.
Easy Come, Easy Ghost
Audrey and Kade go away to visit his parents and soon wind up with another mystery on their hands. Audrey meets her future in-laws along with solving another crime, all while trying not to spill her biggest secret to everyone.
Easy Come, Easy Ghost
Great addition to the series as we have Audrey and Kade flying off to spend time with Kade's parents, who have ended their great Australia adventure and moved into a retirement community in Chicago. Her beloved pets are being taken care of by her neighbor, Seb, and he is also working on planning the wedding. Things start off on a ghoulish note when Audrey discovers there are at least a dozen ghosts on the flight, all injured in some way, with some missing entire limbs. As if flying wasn't bad enough. Ugh. She also immediately "comes out" to her future in-laws when she mistakes a ghost for another family member and tries to shake her hand. Double ugh. But apparently, Kade's parents are more interested in finding the body than they are in why it is she can interact with ghosts. Wow, that was unexpected. Huh.
I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.
Audrey and Kade are back, and I am so excited. Their dynamic is so loving and fun, and I am over the moon that we got to meet Kade’s parents. I was a little bummed that we didn’t get to see much of Seb, Bandit, and Thor, and we didn’t see Ben at all, but again, it was fun to meet Kade’s parents. This latest in the series is full of wild fun, and Audrey is always so capable and gets to the bottom of every murder she encounters. While this mystery isn’t overly difficult, the trip to find the perpetrator is a fun adventure with Sylvia and Dennis. I can’t wait to see what happens at the Bridal Expo in the next book.
Easy Come Easy Ghost
Audrey is heading to Chicago with Kade to meet her future in-laws. Audrey is just so appealingly relatable. She is clumsy, says the wrong thing, and has a hard time standing up to her family; she is a heroine for us regular folks. These stories are so funny and really different from all the other cozy mysteries. A dead woman on the golf course and her future in-laws are helping with the investigation, what could go wrong? This was the best story yet, and I look forward to more and more of Audrey.
Easy Come Easy Ghost
Each book makes me fall in love with Audrey more. She’s scrappy, funny, accident-prone, addicted to coffee, and downright wonderful. She's going with Kade to Chicago to meet his parents for the first time. Of course, she sees a ghost, and the parents jump in on the mystery-solving tour. It’s a fun read, and I can’t recommend this book or the series more. If you like a humorous mystery cozy, this one is definitely for you.
Easy Come, Easy Ghost
The clumsy PI and dashing police detective are moving ahead toward walking down the aisle. Meeting his folks- cool, except for the ghosts on the plane.
Getting outed by a ghost in their apartment- unexpected. Having the senior Galloways ready to dip into a murder investigation and having them not bat an eye over her psychic skills? Pricelessly awesome.
Bad guys, crazy actors, bad actors, and an evil acting sister-in-law trying to take over the wedding- maddening. Also, par for the course for Audrey- who is exactly as hilariously awful on a golf course as I had imagined
sweet, sad, and horrific mixed with butt-kicking women seeking justice
Easy Come, Easy Ghost
It's nerve-wracking enough meeting the parents for the first time... throw in a ghost and some kooky senior-agers and mayhem ensues. I love this series... and the video calls with Thor, and Bandit were awesome. Thor is such a drama queen.
Easy Come, Easy Ghost
I loved this book was funny in so many ways. Kade's family are amazing with how they've accepted Audrey and her ways. Looking forward to much more and hopefully more of Kade's family as well. Yet again, another great book.
Easy Come, Easy Ghost
I really enjoy this series. The author manages to bypass just about every aspect of a cozy mystery that bugs me. The pacing of the story pleases me; I do not feel as if a bunch of material is added just to "build suspense" or simply pad the narrative. Audrey and Kade are just ever so appealing. I like that there is not an abundance of inter-family angst; there is just a little bit of conflict. When I like a character as much as I like Audrey, it would upset me to see people being mean to her. Also ... Thor and Bandit and those covers!!
Easy Come, Easy Ghost
It's hard enough for Audrey to meet her future in-laws for the first time without having a ghost appear and her start talking to it. But her in-laws are great, and they go looking for the body of the ghost and then get involved in solving her murder. Audrey is her usual clumsy self, and, as usual, the ghost is very little help. Great characters, so laugh-aloud moments, and a well-plotted mystery.
Easy Come Easy Ghost
I loved this book. Audrey and Kade go to meet his parents, and mayhem ensues from the minute they walk in the door. From a dead golfer who wants her murder resolved to the "slightly" illegal activities that the golfer and her friends are up to, to the wedding activities back home that her sister-in-law is trying to ram through. This is a thoroughly funny book with lots of surprises and unexpected twists and turns. I really enjoy this series and always look forward to the next one.
Easy Come Easy Ghost
I could not put this book down it’s yet another great read from Jane. I love kades parents and how they get along with Audrey and all her quirkiness lol gotta love the dramatics from Thor and Bandit as well I can’t wait for the next book in the series plz say it won’t be too long of a wait 😁
Easy Come, Easy Ghost
Worried about leaving her beloved cat Thor and mischievous raccoon Bandit, may be more stressful for Audrey Fitzgerald than meeting her future in-laws in their new home in Chicago. When she travels with her fiancé Detective Kade Galloway to meet them, she soon realizes she has nothing to worry about since Kade’s parents are wonderful. Unfortunately, when a victim’s ghost appears to Audrey and directs her to the body, Kade and her parents are with her as she begins to communicate with the ghost. While wondering how she can keep such a secret from her future in-laws, she soon discovers that they are more than okay with Audrey seeing and communicating with ghosts, and they want to help with the investigation. This charming series is a wonderful escape from reality, and it is so easy to fall in love with Audrey, hunky Kade, and delightful Thor and Bandit. I love this series! This is my honest, voluntary review of an advanced reader copy of this book.
Easy Come, Easy Ghost
I loved this book with its mystery, humor, and a bit of romance. I loved the realistic anxiety Audrey experiences with her upcoming wedding. Her pets are quite amusing. The future in-laws were amazing and so accepting. I really enjoyed this book and the others in this series. I highly recommend this Author and her works.
Easy Come, Easy Ghost
Meeting the in-laws for the first time makes anyone nervous, and Audrey was in for a surprise she hadn't seen coming. Bonus with the in-law! I found the adventures of the elderly trio very entertaining, and how they had been getting away with it is really a mystery. Poor Audrey suddenly found herself with too much on her plate with a wedding and the mystery she felt compelled to solve. Even something was worrying the groom. I love these cozy mysteries where the protagonist is not only a ghost whisperer, but she has to deal with her own flaws and her family's inquisition. The 'in the secret' group seems to grow. And I can't leave behind the cute pets that make me smile every time they appear. A story with funny situations, curious characters, many almost, almost, culprits, and a lot of clues to follow.
I really enjoyed this fun cozy mystery, and I had forgotten how much I love Audrey. Things don’t go to plan when Audrey and her fiancé Kade visit his parents in Chicago as Audrey immediately starts talking to a ghost and outs herself to Kade’s parents as being able to see ghosts. Here starts the whole family wanting in on the action of determining what happened to Joyce. Kade’s father being a retired cop and Kade being a detective means it’s right up their alley. The relationship Audrey had with the ghost Joyce was fun, and the conversations Audrey had with Joyce’s friends, with and without Joyce, were entertaining. I loved how everyone worked together to get to the bottom of it. This story has less of Audrey’s pets Thor and Bandit, but we still get some of their fun banter when they video chat. Really entertaining story.
Easy Come Easy Ghost
I loved it. This was a good cosy mystery. I love Kade and Audrey. I loved getting to meet Kade's parents. I really look forward to getting a new one of Jane's books. They are always a fun read.
Easy Come Easy Ghost
OMG, I couldn't put it down! Love the family and how they just love Audrey. I can't wait for more.
Easy Come, Easy Ghost
This is another great book by Jane Hinchey. I love all of the characters in this story. Trouble follows our main character as usual, and meeting the future in laws adds to the tension. I can't wait for the next book in the series.
