Guest Author Interview

Every few weeks I post a guest author interview on my blog where we get a little peak into an author's life! This week we're chatting with Kim Hunt Harris, author of the Trailer Park Princess Cozy Mystery Series. Have a question for Kim? Don't be afraid to leave a comment!

Introducing...

Cozy Mystery Author

 Kim Hunt Harris

Kim Hunt Harris is the USA Today and Wall Street Journal best-selling author of the Trailer Park Princess comic mystery series.

Kim knew she wanted to be a writer before she even knew how to write. When her parents read bedtime stories to her, she knew she wanted to be a part of the story world. She started out writing children’s stories, and her stories grew as she did. She discovered a gift for humor and a love for making people laugh with her tales, and the Trailer Park Princess series was born.

1. How long does it take you to write a full novel? AND...what's a typical writing day look like for you?

Too long! Usually a nine-months to a year, although recently it’s taken a bit longer because I’m writing a few novellas in between, as well as developing a new series.

2. Beside's writing, what are you most passionate about?

Making sure the remaining eggs in the carton are symmetrical. Also humor.

3. If you could travel to any location to write a novel, where would you go and why?

Yorkshire, England. I'd love a little cottage where I can walk the hills between writing sessions.

4. What's the latest show you binge watched?

I watch Foyle's War over and over.

5. Tell us something most people don't know about you!

Like my character, Salem Grimes, I used to groom dogs for a living.

The Trailer Park Princess Cozy Mystery Series

My story, The Trailer Park Princess is Yankee Doodle Deadly is part of the Summer Snoops Unleashed box set of cozy mysteries. I'm excited about the set because we're donating all pre-sale proceeds to animal rescue, and I can't wait for readers to read my story--I had a blast writing this 4th-of-July themed cozy.

Thank you Kim for joining us today and sharing a little bit of your writing process and a behind the scenes peek at your personal life 🙂

Don't forget, you can ask Kim a question in the comments (I'll make sure she sees it) and of course shoot on over to her website where you'll learn more about her books.
