Guest Author Interview
Every few weeks I post a guest author interview on my blog where we get a little peak into an author's life! This week we're chatting with Carly Winter, author of the Tri-Town Murders Cozy Mystery Series. Have a question for Carly? Don't be afraid to leave a comment!
Introducing...

Carly Winter
Carly Winter is the pen name for a USA Today best-selling and award-winning romance author. When not writing, she likes spending time with her family, reading and enjoying the fantastic Arizona weather (except summer - she doesn't like summer). She does like dogs, wine and chocolate and wishes Christmas happened twice a year.
1. How long does it take you to write a full novel? AND...what's a typical writing day look like for you?
Usually 3-4 months from beginning to publishing. Unfortunately for me, I don't have a typical writing day, but I do find my creativity is best in the morning hours. After 4pm, forget it!
2. Beside's writing, what are you most passionate about?
My kid. Every day he amazes me, and I can't believe he's 15 and learning to drive! He's so smart, thoughtful and funny. I love hanging out with him when he allows me to do so. LOL!
3. If you could travel to any location to write a novel, where would you go and why?
I would love to be able to rent a beachside house for a month in the Caribbean and write. It's so beautiful there, the people are so wonderful and I truly feel at peace when I'm there. However, if I'm honest with myself, I know I wouldn't write one word if I got my wish! I'd be snorkeling, paddle-boarding and enjoying cocktails all day long!
4. What's the latest show you binge watched?
Right now, I'm in the middle of a British show called Marcella. I can't binge-watch it though because of they heavy plot lines. One episode a day is about all I can take! It's a mystery / police show, and I love it.
5. Tell us something most people don't know about you!
My father used to own a food company that served gas stations. Those sandwiches that you see in the refrigerated area? I used to make those! I've made thousands upon thousands of sandwiches in my life, and it is not a fun job!
Thank you, Carly, for joining us today and sharing a little bit of your writing process and a behind the scenes peek at your personal life 🙂
Don't forget, you can ask Carly a question in the comments (I'll make sure she sees it) and of course shoot on over to her website where you'll learn more about her books.
